City Winery Chicago: Summer Rosé Patio Party Review
The first week of August in Chicago was perfect for the Summer Rosé Patio Party at City Winery Chicago. I joined many fellow wine lovers as we swirled and sipped on the most popular rosés in town and celebrated the Summer season among friends and family. In a casual, walk about style tasting, we sampled domestic and international rosés in an array of styles. We got to experience the versatility of pink wine while learning about various grapes and wine-making methods and even tasting a wine made here in Chicago!

The Summer Rosé Patio Party at City Winery was soooooo much fun (because wine)! It definitely was the event of the season. I had my bestie Gina with me, and we sipped on several (kind of lost count) rosés, pairing them with some crazy delish hors d’oeuvres and some fantastic macaroons. We tasted all of the wines that were offered and went back for seconds on our favorites. We sipped and ate on a beautiful, flawless Sunday evening. Oh, hi, perfection.

You can’t have a Rose party without having some flower crowns! City Winery had a mini flower crown bar for the party guest to make their flower crowns. Although my crown wasn’t the prettiest, I had so much fun making my flower crown and wearing it as I sipped and swirled my wine. It was a fitting addition for a great night of wine.

Rosé is one of the most food-friendly wines out there. City Winery Chicago assembled a very delicious and appealing charcuterie board. Cheeses, salami, Proscuitto, and olives filled the board along with sides of bread and delicious macaroons for dessert.

Check out City Winery Chicago for more wine events happening near you. Is it Wine O’Clock yet?
I would have loved to see a couple photos of the wine you said you tried. How many wines were available for sampling?
Ive heard many great things about City Winery. We have one here in atlanta but I havent been to it just yet. Totally have to check it out now.
I love the charcuterie board with all cold cuts. And my favorite MACARONS are incredible for a dessert or with wine.

Cheeses, salami, Proscuitto, and olives sound like the perfect combos with Rose! I live in another country and haven’t had macaroons in years! Looks amazing.
