Join Cami and Wyatt in the third book of the Cami Kangaroo and Wyatt Too series, as they try to break this bad habit and find their way back to the real world.

Kids Picture Book: Cami and Wyatt Have Too Much Screen Time

I think just about every day, I am asking my kids to get off their phones, games, tablets and read a kids picture book. Along with me, a whopping 85% of parents with kids aged 6 to 17 agree that they wish their kids did more things that didn’t involve screen time.

Reducing time with electronics makes it more possible for families to spend time together, interact with each other, and so much more. It can give children more time to go outside, get some exercise, or read a book. Studies have shown that cutting down the amount of screen time can also have a positive effect on kids’ physical, social, and behavioral well-being. It can even improve their academic performance.

So, what better way than to unplug with a kids picture book about screen-free play. A great children’s book that is can help you and your family enjoy some read-aloud time and learn some fun ways to take a break from that little blue-lit screen.

Cami and Wyatt Have Too Much Screen Time by Stacy C. Bauer is the third picture book in the Cami Kangaroo and Wyatt Too children’s book series. This book joins Cami and Wyatt in a witty and relatable book about how they begin to miss out on the fun because they are spending too much time on their electronics. One day during a nasty storm, the power goes out, and Cami and Wyatt have no choice but to find new ways to enjoy their time as a family without their screen time.

My kids and I are huge fans of the Cami Kangaroo and Wyatt Too Series. Each one of Stacy C. Baurer’s books are relatable, funny, and engaging. And just like the first two books in the series did not disappoint, neither did Cami and Wyatt Have Too Much Screen Time!   We enjoyed this picture book and enjoyed joining Cami and Wyatt as they realized that, while being on your phones, tablets, and games are fun, spending all of your time on electronics means you miss out on a lot of other fun.

Stacy C. Bauer includes advice and ideas of fun and screen-free ideas from parents and kids at the end of the book, which I always appreciate and love. If you are looking for a picture book that helps start the conversation of the importance of making good choices and opening up the dialogue about too much screen time in your house, this is the perfect book for you and your family.

About the Author, Stacy C. Bauer

“I have had a passion for reading and writing since I was young. After spending much of my childhood “publishing” stories and playing school, I became a teacher. In addition to my teaching career, I am a wife and mother to Cami (9) and Wyatt (7) and currently reside in Minnesota.

I have never forgotten my dream of becoming a published author, so I began writing a series based on the antics of my own two children. I am hoping this series will inspire children to write, as well as bring some fun and laughter to parents and their children.” – Stacy
