The uncertainty of the current pandemic has turned the daily lives of children across the globe upside down and inside out, leaving parents and caregivers struggling to explain the changes. Thankfully, parents have children’s books like “Stay at Home” by Jessica Dawn to explain why staying at home is so important.
Children’s author Jessica Dawn decided to write a children’s book about staying at home to help normalize the current pandemic state. All over the world, billions of people stay at home to help keep others and themselves safe. However, this can be very hard for little ones to understand. This fun and cheerful book gives many examples of animals that hibernate to help normalize staying home.
The book is beautifully illustrated by Jessica Dawn and has vivid and eye-catching illustrations that both parents and kids will love. This story has quickly become a favorite in our home. We are animal lovers, and being able to read a story that features animals is a plus. This is the perfect book for kids, especially during these crazy times.

About the Author, Jessica Dawn
“Jessica Dawn is a Mom, artist, storyteller and dreamer. She was raised on her family orchard in rural Washington. She loves the outdoors. Jessica has traveled to 28 countries and counting. Currently teaching a love for learning and exploring to her child.
Illustrator… An artist 1st, she enjoys using a combination of hand and digital techniques. She is constantly sketching and creating. Sketching outdoors in nature, is her happy place.
Author… From a family of storytellers. She is still a child at heart. Jessica is Neurodiverse, struggling with and embracing her dyslexia. Writing and reading is difficult for her, nothing will stop her from getting her stories out to the world.
Apparel Designer… Graduated from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) She is known for bright colors and fun prints.”
